It's a nice place to chill over Chinese tea. I highly recommend the workshop that I attended. For someone unfamiliar... with Chinese tea, I learnt a lot bout the history, the types, their manufacturing processes and also some basic brewing skills. It's comforting to enjoy the tea along with some pastries and tea eggs. The tea eggs were flavorful, unlike typical ones sold elsewhere. The environment was cozy. The food items look affordable. I can't say much bout the tea prices as I'm not a connoisseur.I would definitely want to visit this place again.read more

I recently visited Tea Chapter for tea time and was impressed with the ambiance of the place. There was an extra charge... for access to the Korean and Chinese rooms, but I opted to stay in the Japanese area.I had a nice strong flavored Oolong tea. The tea egg was average, but the dim sum and noodles were delicious. The prices were a bit more expensive, but the portion size was bigger, allowing for two separate brewing sessions of 5 brews each. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, a good tea experience at Tea Chapter.read more

Truly mediocre service. Inconsistent waiting times (told us we would wait 20 minutes, after 20 minutes told us another... 15, finally spontaneously gave us a seat upstairs), kitchen FORGOT our longevity bun order, and we had to chase it down as we were almost done with our tea. They waived the charge ($5) for the buns but seeing as they kept us waiting for 1 hour for the buns, was $5 really worth it?!Must add that the teenage girl who first greeted me gave me a very rude once over and was not at all helpful. Please hire more actual service staff.read more

Nice place to just chill and have some tea.Staff are friendly and demonstrated the steps and also some pointers.We... had 2 kind of tea (Puer and Oolong) one is $28 and $35 which comes in 2 portion each and each portion can make 5 pot of tea.We also had some dim sum which are nice but nothing fantastic which I think is understandable since they are not a dim sum place.Tea wise can’t really comment as I am not well versed enough to judge but overall a nice experience and worth to visit againread more

Signed up for a 2-hour tea appreciation workshop at Tea Chapter recently, and had Mr Fund Lee as our instructor for the... session. Fund is the second generation owner of the establishment, and was very knowledgeable in sharing with us the Chinese history of tea, the various techniques in preparing this beverage, as well as explaining the benefits and peculiarities of each kind of tea used during the workshop. Was surprised to see the place so fully patronized even during a mid-week afternoon; at the same time happy to see so many people in Singapore interested in an art form surrounding this wonderful drink. Definitely worth the afternoon, and will be back again!read more

Nice and quiet tea house. Plenty of Chinese tea to choose from. My friend suggested this place to catch up since we like to drink tea. We had to choose 2 types of tea to start. We had... a lighter tea and a stronger one. The food menu is small consisting of tim sum and tea leaves eggs. The eggs are cooked to perfection, so flavourful and tasty. Tim sum is not bad too. A good place to catch up with friends and family in a lazy afternoon over cups of tea. However, the staircase may not... be friendly for elderly. The waitress who served us is not so friendly when my friend wanted to reconfirm the duration, tea type etc. with her.. And she told us not to leave our used tissue on the table for them to clear when she saw we are sanitizing our hands with wet wipes. When asked where is the dustbin, she immediately tell us they don't have any in house and we can throw them outside when we leave the place later. At first, I thought it is hygiene issues and they do not provide any tissues but later, they served us with wet wipes n napkin to use as well. Overall, the tea we selected and the snack is fine. Minus 1 star for not so good service.read more

This experiential tea house is truly a hidden gem! They’ve been around since time immemorial; i remember coming here to... learn about tea when I was a kid…It was almost a full house when we went but thankfully they offered us this um special table that queen Elizabeth II once occupied (for a cover charge of $10). We got ourselves the white peony tea. My favourite part was when the lovely waitstaff taught and demonstrated to us how to enjoy the tea before leaving us to our own devices for the rest of the afternoon. For the uninitiated: each teapot holds ~ 1 spoonful of tea leaves which can give 5 infusions. Pour the hot water into the teapot for 20 seconds (add 5 seconds for each subsequent infusion) then out into the dispensing cup. Make sure u only hold the teapot and secure the lid with one hand like the Chinese ancients!! Then dispense the tea and enjoy.Jelly platter (comprising herbal jelly, lychee jelly and osmanthus jelly) paired well with the tea.Sugar peanuts were nice to munch on whilst chit chatting. The dim sum is supposedly not made in house but we were satisfied with the chicken lotus rice.read more

Great place for an introduction to the art of preparing and drinking Chinese tea. Was told that when Queen Elizabeth... visited Singapore, she dropped by Tea Chapter.
